What is collected on this site
Two things on this website collect information, and both only when you choose to use them.
- The booking form. Your name, email address, phone number, and anything you write in the message field.
- The contact form. Your name, email address, and your message.
Please do not include detailed personal health information in either form. A short note about what you would like help with is enough. The rest is better discussed in a session.
What it is used for
Only to reply to you and to arrange and confirm appointments. It is not sold, rented, or shared for marketing, and you will not be added to a mailing list.
Clinical records
Clinical records from sessions are separate from this website. They are kept confidential in line with the standards of the British Columbia College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers. Confidentiality has limits set by law, including risk of harm to yourself or someone else, suspected abuse or neglect of a child or vulnerable adult, and a court order. These limits are explained to you at the start of counselling.
How long information is kept
Enquiries and booking records are kept only as long as needed for the purpose they were collected for, and for any period required by professional or legal obligations.
Cookies and site statistics
This site uses only the cookies WordPress needs to work. It does not run advertising trackers or sell behavioural data.
Your rights
Under PIPA you can ask what personal information is held about you, ask for corrections, and ask for it to be deleted where there is no legal or professional reason to keep it. To make a request, email lorraine@lorrainehall.ca.
